Ryan Kerr

Ryan is an activist, artist and general communications expert who has lived in Toronto longer than he hasn’t. He has presented as a keynote speaker for York University, Western University and American University in Washington DC as well as many conferences within the sector in Ontario on the topic of acceptance, queerness and HIV stigma.

In 2016, Ryan co-organized the #PulseTO vigil at Nathan Philips Square and in 2017 a rally for the victims of the Chechen purge, leading to an arrangement between Rainbow Railroad and the Federal Government which saw the rescue of multiple Chechen refugees to Canada. Ryan is currently developing a podcast (working title “Nocturnal Transmission”) that he hopes will come out in the early new year with COVID-era reflections and a few anti-stigma messages in there for good measure.
